Is volunteering for you - 02-07-2008
With Volunteers’ Week now over (1-7 June) it’s not too late to consider volunteering and find the opportunity you have always wanted to be involved in.
Whether you want to give something back to the community or to develop your own skills, the time you dedicate to Scouting can benefit many young people and adults in a very positive way.

Didcot Volunteer Day (12th July) is a unique event being run by Didcot First and Didcot Scouts.
Working together, we aim to raise the awareness of volunteering for all Volunteer using organisations within Didcot.
We could really do with some volunteers to help at the event and to promote it to friends, neighbours, colleagues and family. It would be great to fill the Civic Hall with people who are tempted to get involved – either with Scouting – or any other organisations. If you can’t help on the day – why not just come along for some refreshments and to see the diversity of organisations there – including Police, Cornerstone Arts Centre, Homestart, CAB, Red Cross, Guides, Next Steps, Learn Direct, Helen & Douglas House, Pact, Chamber of Commerce, Twinning Association, Ryder Cheshire, Oxford Befriending Network, South &Vale Carers, Northmoor Trust, Didcot Access and Fairtrade Groups --- and more!
if you would like to volunteer to help out on the day, please contact Jacqui Gadd gsl@12thdidcotscouts.org
